Apparently a sneeze can really cost you.

A Russian man will spend 15 days in jail after being convicted of spitting on a portrait of Russian President Vladimir Putin during a protest.

Although Dmitry Karuyev claimed he simply sneezed, a court ruled that Karuyev “deliberately spat at a portrait of Vladimir Putin” and found him guilty of minor hooliganism, Agence France-Presse reports.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the incident occurred during a one-person protest in Cheboksary, Russia.

One-person demonstrations have become popular among Russian opposition groups because they do not require government permits.
