Garfield, an obese cat who’s pushing 40 pounds, would make his cartoonish namesake proud.
Currently under the care of the North Shore Animal League of America in Long Island, N.Y., Garfield has been put on a low calorie diet and has already lost a pound under his strict regimen, the Telegraph reported.
This fat cat got us thinking: What other animals could stand to loose a few pounds in time for bikini season?
The good news? The People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals has created a “Biggest Loser”-type contest for obese pets called “The Pet Fit Club.” Hopefully, this will get them beach-body ready in time for summer, which is right around the corner.
