President Barack Obama’s responsible fatherhood initiative is off to an ironic start.
The president forgot to pay for his meal at Kenny’s BBQ on Capitol Hill this Wednesday, ABC News reports. The meal launched his new attempt to inspire responsible dads, called “Fatherhood Buzz.”
Along with two active duty Army men and two local barbers, Obama stopped at the restaurant to celebrate Father’s Day early and chat about what it means to be a dad.
The president ate a pile of ribs covered in barbecue sauce, collard greens, red beans with rice and cornbread. After eating a $55.58 meal, Obama and his entourage simply left without paying.
By the end of the day, the White House had realized the error and settled the bill.
