Texas Rangers announcer Dave Barnett stumbled over his words for 30 seconds during Monday night’s game between the Rangers and the San Diego Padres.

At the bottom of the eighth inning, Barnett’s speech slowed, and he mentioned a “fifth” base, “a botched robbery” and a “henchman” before going silent, Deadspin first reported.

“Go-ahead run is at fifth at what [incoherent] is insisting in calling a botched robbery,” Barnett said on the air during a Fox Sports Southwest telecast. “Actually what happened was this henchman– he’s literally on the– ”

Dallas Morning News reporter Evan Grant said a severe migraine may have caused the lapse,

Barnett joined the Rangers radio broadcast team in 2009 and became the lead play-by-play announcer in 2011.
