Lindsay Lohan’s “psycho-sexual thriller” got its first trailer this week — but, unfortunately, there is nothing psycho or sexual about it.
The teaser for the Bret Easton Ellis penned, straight-to-Netflix flick, “The Canyons,” is just one long panorama of strung together shots of Los Angeles set to moody hipster music.
The novelist tweeted last month that both Lohan and, natch, porn star James Deen would be starring in the film about “a small group of Los Angeles twenty-somethings, in a psycho-sexual thriller that will have both crime and redemption elements.”
Come on, guys, you can’t tease this premise and then just gives us a bunch of shots of movie theater marquees and aesthetically pleasing street corners. That is what Woody Allen movies are for.
