Well, that doesn’t matter, because the Democratic Party thinks you do.
“Government’s the only thing that we all belong to.”
Some Democrats don’t know the difference between a country and a government. Other Democrats do know the difference, but don’t care. They all want you to confuse the two. So they tell you, in folksy tones over sweeping music, that you belong to the government.
Clint Eastwood: “Politicians work for us. They are employees of ours.”
Democrats: “Now just wait a damn minute.”
Go ahead. Vote for the people who think you belong to them.

P.S. So of course, the Obama campaign and the Democratic Party now claim they had nothing to do with this video shown at, um, the Democratic National Convention. Apparently, they’ll just let anybody put up any video they want, without screening it or anything. Nothing is ever their fault.
