Paul Ryan, the Republican vice presidential candidate simultaneously running for re-election to his U.S. House seat, is going up with television ads in his Wisconsin congressional district.
The ads are paid for by Paul Ryan for Congress and are running in TV markets in Wisconsin’s first congressional district, but they could also be helpful in the presidential race.
Ryan’s presence on the ticket has made Wisconsin competitive, according to polls.
The message in the ad is compatible with both campaigns. Ryan’s congressional campaign released the video on Wednesday.
The first ad, called “America has a Choice,” shows Ryan in a coffee house telling voters that, “You, not Washington, should decide the path we take and the decisions we make.”
“Americans can’t wait, so we won’t wait,” Ryan says. “If we act now, we can get this right.”
