Benghazi: CIA operators made three separate requests for help, were turned down

Font Size:

Every day, we learn more and more about what happened at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012. And every day, it becomes clearer and clearer that our own government ignored Ambassador Christopher Stevens’ warnings of an impending attack, allowed him to be murdered even as they watched the whole thing happen in real time, tried to cover it up by blaming a private citizen who was exercising his right to free speech by putting a video on YouTube, and have lied about every aspect of this debacle, every step of the way.

It just keeps getting worse. They didn’t just let it happen. They actively impeded all efforts to stop it:

Three. Separate. Requests.

Stand. Down.

Is anybody still confused about this story? Do you still think this is no big deal? Do you still have a perfectly good explanation? Let’s hear it.

In other Benghazi news:

  • Ed Klein claims Hillary Clinton asked for more security in Benghazi, but Obama said no.
  • The father of Tyrone Woods, one of the ex-SEALs who disobeyed the stand-down order and was killed trying to protect Stevens, says Hillary told him this at the memorial service: “She mentioned that… ‘We’re going to have that person arrested and prosecuted that did the [Innocence of Muslims] video.’ That was the first time I had even heard about anything like that.”
  • Not to be outdone, at the same ceremony, Joe Biden asked Woods: “Did your son always have balls the size of cue balls?” Which might be an admirable sentiment, if it wasn’t being expressed over the man’s casket by a representative of the administration that refused to help him protect our own diplomats and then lied their asses off to hide their own callous incompetence.
  • CNS News: “The White House is declining to say when President Barack Obama first learned of three e-mails that the State Department sent to the White House on Sept. 11, 2012, directly notifying the Executive Office of the President that the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi was under attack, that U.S. Amb. Chris Stevens was at the Benghazi mission at the time of the attack, and that the group Ansar al-Sharia had taken credit for the attack.”

This makes Watergate look like a water balloon. It’s unconscionable.

And the State Department and the Obama administration will just keep on lying about it. And our moral, ethical, and intellectual betters in the mainstream media will keep turning a blind eye.

How about you?
