Malala Yousafzai, the 14-year-old student who was shot by a member of the Taliban, is recovering well in the a Birmingham hospital.

Yousafzai’s father, Ziauddin Yousafzai, called the girl’s attacker “an agent of Satan.”

“She got right treatment, at the right place and at the right time,” he added, referring to the hospital care Malala has received.

David Rosser, a hospital representative, said at a press conference that the typical recovery time for someone in the girl’s condition is “anywhere between six to nine months.”
