Jay Leno actually mentions Libya

Font Size:

An American ambassador was murdered by terrorists in Benghazi on the anniversary of 9/11, after he was specifically denied more security and after his rescuers were ordered to stand down. Then the President of the United States and his surrogates spent weeks blaming it on a YouTube video made by a guy who has since been thrown in jail. Then they claimed they never said that. As if we don’t have… YouTube.

You wouldn’t think it’d take late-night comedians seven weeks to mention such a thing, but better late than never. It’s at the 50-second mark in this clip:

“Well, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell is back. Not for gays in the military… it’s President Obama’s new policy for questions about Libya. Don’t ask, don’t tell!”

I guess that’s less of a joke than a fact. None of Obama’s lies have worked, and he’s got less than a week until the election, so he’s just trying to run out the clock. He knows that nobody but bloggers and Fox News are treating the murder of a U.S. ambassador like it’s a big deal, so what’s the downside? He’s already used Leno for his own purposes, so let the guy make all the jokes he wants.

Four more years!

Update: Obama Met With Panetta and Biden at WH As Benghazi Terror Attack Unfolded. How odd that there are no pictures. When they think they’ve handled something competently, there are always pictures.

Update: Cindy Sheehan was cheered, Charles Woods is ignored. The absolute moral authority of the grieving parent of a fallen warrior only counts if the president is a Republican.

Update: Lingering questions about Benghazi.

Update: Facebook censors Navy SEALs to protect Obama on Benghazigate.
