In a recently resurfaced 1984 Today show interview, a Boca Raton woman named June O’Brien showcases a demonic toaster that she alleges is the spawn of Satan.
According to O’Brien, not only does her toaster utter “I am the devil” in a low voice, but it also carves hellish messages onto bread while a slice is in the appliance.
O’Brien felt the need to go on TV to be “sure that someone else would see it.”
But not all toasted bread is created equal.
In 2004, twenty years after this Satanic toaster exposé, a woman sold a grilled cheese sandwich with the Virgin Mary toasted on one side for $28,000, according to BBC News.
