Birth-control enthusiast Sandra Fluke auctions one-hour ‘strategy session’
The College Fix reports that women’s rights activist Sandra Fluke, last seen demanding that Congress force Catholic schools and other religious organizations to offer cheap contraceptive drugs, has put up for auction one hour of her time for an online “strategy session” at the charity auction site BiddingForGood.com.
You — yes, you! — can win the opportunity to soak up Fluke’s vast insight and knowledge, but only if you are the lucky high bidder. (RELATED: Fluke delivers rousing speech to mostly empty supermarket parking lot)
According to the auction page, “Social justice advocate Sandra Fluke will help you harness the power of activism and/or advocacy with this strategy session. You bring the expertise on your issue, and Sandra will bring her sharp strategic mind and national experience.”
Bidders hoping to meet Fluke personally or to receive any in-depth advice from the 31-year-old Georgetown Law graduate will likely be disappointed, though.
“Advice session will take place by phone or Skype at a mutually convenient time,” the auction page states. “The item is one session of up to one hour.”
The current closing date of the auction is Dec. 5 at 10 p.m. EST.
Bidding started at $20 on Nov. 26. The leading bid is currently $110.
BiddingForGood bills itself as a charitable e-commerce company that allows charitable organizations, nonprofits and schools to raise money through auctions.
