Baldwin was walking his dogs in New York City Sunday when Post reporter Tara Palmeri went up to him and asked him about a lawsuit involving his wife, Hilaria Thomas, and her yoga studio.
Baldwin was reportedly furious about the question and “grabbed the reporter by the arm,” and said, “I want to choke you to death,” according to the Post story.
However, a person close to the actor told The Daily Caller that Baldwin told Palmeri “I hope you choke to death,” but did not threaten to choke her.
According to the story, Baldwin then referred to the Post photographer G.N. Miller — who happens to be a retired NYPD detective — a “coon and a drug dealer.”
Police were called to the scene, and both Baldwin and Miller filed harassment claims against each other.
In the police complaint against Miller, the actor asked the photographer “to keep his distance,” but that Miller “pushed into him.”
According to Miller’s complain, Baldwin was being “aggressive” and told him to “suck my dick.”
Baldwin’s publicist Matthew Hiltzik told TheDC that Baldwin strongly denies making any racial comments saying, “That’s one of the most outrageous things I’ve heard in my life.’’
According to the Post, Baldwin tweeted about the incident only to delete the posts soon after. He wrote, “Thank u 2 NYPD officers who came to my home 2day so that I could file a formal complaint against NY Post ‘photographer’’ who assaulted me.’’
Baldwin then referred to Miller as “Ralston,” tweeting, “Ralston claims he’s ex NYPD!! That can’t be!!! Ex NYPD don’t become crackhead, ex jailhouse paparazzi!”
This isn’t the first time Baldwin has reportedly gotten physical with paparazzi. Last summer, the actor was accused of scuffling with a New York Daily News photographer.
