On Tuesday, singer Morrissey declared a “victory for the animals” after the Staples Center in Los Angeles reportedly agreed not to serve meat at any of the food kiosks during the concert.

But the Staples Center released a statement Wednesday clarifying the former frontman for The Smiths and longtime vegan’s words by saying that only the food backstage will be exclusively vegan. Vendors in the arena will also serve “an abundance of meatless dishes including Vegan Sloppy Joes, Grilled Veggie Sandwiches, Veggie Burgers, Veggie Wraps, Pasta, salads and more veg venue standard,” but meat isn’t banned.

PETA will also be allowed to set up information booths inside the arena.

Staples Center is still “in talks” over whether or not the McDonald’s inside the venue will be closed the night of the March 1 concert, because everyone knows McDonald’s is the devil incarnate and just loves killing animals more than anyone.
