Rapper Rick Ross is really sorry that some lyrics that are totally about date rape that you interpreted as lyrics about date rape.

The lyric in question is from the song “U.O.E.N.O.” by Rocko featuring Rick Ross and Future, which came out in January but just recently drew criticism. Last week, Ross said that the lyrics — about giving a girl MDMA and then having sex with her — were “misinterpreted.”

In the song, Ross raps: “Put Molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it/ I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it” and then brags about his “bag of bitches.”

Earlier this week, the Parents Television Council urged radio stations to stop playing the song.

“There is never a good reason for songs legitimizing or glorifying rape to be played or promoted by radio stations…ever,” said PTC President Tim Winter in a statement.

But after the women’s group UltraViolet threatened to protest in front of a New York City Reebok — one of the rapper’s sponsors — Ross apologized for the lyric and said that neither he nor his “business partners” promote violence against women.
