Russian President Vladimir Putin was greeted by a topless protester during a trade visit to Hanover, Germany on Monday.
What did he do when this incident occurred? Gave the woman two thumbs up, naturally.
More bare-breasted protesters from the feminist group Femen rushed towards Putin, screaming that he was a “dictator” before being tackled and covered up by security guards. Putin, however, didn’t seem to mind the display.
“Regarding this performance, I liked it,” Putin said during a press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel after the incident, according to Reuters. The Russian president said that the security guards could have been “gentler” with the nude protestors. GIF and screen grab via Gawker:
“I did not catch what they were shouting, I did not even see if they were blondes, brunettes or chestnut-haired…I don’t see anything terrible in [the protest], though I think…it is better to be dressed if one wants to discuss political matters,” Putin said.
