Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning took to the stage this weekend and offered up his best impersonation of outlaw country music star Johnny Cash.

Manning and country singer Luke Bryan teamed up on stage at a gala event for the Indianapolis Children’s Hospital that bears the former Colts quarterback’s name.

Manning looked a little sloppy on stage with an uncharacteristically loosened tie, but held his own on the singing end, belting out “Folsom Prison Blues” with the help of Bryan.

The quarterback was able to hit some of Cash’s famed low notes and only looked semi goofy/awkward/embarrassed in the spotlight.

We know Manning is amazing at commercials and comedy sketches (see his “Saturday Night Live” clips), but this adds a whole new element to his growing list of talents. He doesn’t show off what one would call “stage presence” during this clip, but he gets the job done.

When Bryan went with the windmill air guitar move, Manning backed off, saying “I don’t have that” and resorted to a random Elvis “Thank you very much” impersonation instead.

Manning has certainly displayed his ability to adapt to several other potential career paths when he ultimately retires as one of the all-time greats in the NFL.
