Why would anybody want to spy on Sharyl Attkisson’s computer?

Boy, these past few weeks have been a neverending string of mysteries. Here’s the latest one, courtesy of Politico:

Sharyl Attkisson, the Emmy-award winning CBS News investigative reporter, says that her personal and work computers have been compromised and are under investigation.

“I can confirm that an intrusion of my computers has been under some investigation on my end for some months but I’m not prepared to make an allegation against a specific entity today as I’ve been patient and methodical about this matter,” Attkisson told POLITICO on Tuesday. “I need to check with my attorney and CBS to get their recommendations on info we make public.”

How paranoid. Why would anybody want to spy on her? Just because she’s one of the few reporters who’s been reporting on stories like Fast & Furious and Benghazi? Just because she doesn’t take the Obama administration at their word? Just because she actually does her damn job, and Obama doesn’t like it when reporters do that?

Nothing to see here, folks. Go about your business. You love the government and the government loves you. That’s the way you like it, right? You don’t want to get audited or monitored or otherwise corrected, do you?

Then don’t make waves.

Shut up.
