Retired actress and current wreaker-of-havoc Amanda Bynes threw a bong out of her apartment window, then promptly was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, criminal possession and felony evidence tampering before being taken to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
Police were reportedly called to Bynes’ New York City apartment building Thursday night after she was seen smoking a joint and talking to herself in the lobby, TMZ reports. (RELATED: Amanda Bynes gaining on Lindsay Lohan for title of most troubled child star)
When the cops showed up at her door, Bynes — wearing a platinum blonde wig — let them in and then threw the marijuana smoking device out the window, right before police cuffed her. Police either did not know who she was, or did not care. She was arrested, psychiatrically evaluated at Roosevelt Hospital, then taken to night court in Midtown Manhattan.
As of Friday morning, she was still in a jail cell awaiting a hearing.
Bynes has been acting increasingly bizarre over the past year or so, including driving under the influence, getting kicked out of gym classes, and tweeting topless photos of herself.
