When we read from our daily news, whether it’s online or in print, or when we watch from our 24/7 news channels, there is nary a week that passes us by that we don’t hear about some anti-gun, left wing liberal politician, who is attempting to impose a variety of unforgiving, self serving and unrelenting draconian laws that are aimed towards America’s legal gun owners.
And so when we cut to the chase, scrape away the crud, wipe away the filth, or swirl through the murky waters of this anti-gun rhetoric that we hear, most pro-gunners and 2nd Amendment supporters alike already know that these anti-gunners hidden agendas are truly a political death wish for our 2nd Amendment rights.
Sometimes when I listen to all of this chatter about gun control, firearms restrictions, magazine limitations or the new gun laws being proposed, I oftentimes have to give myself a reality check and once again read from our Constitution of the United States or our Bill of Rights.
How I read it is:
“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America…”
However if we are not vigilant, our Constitution could one day soon read something like this:
“We the few Politicians of the United States, in Order to steal away your firearms and your legal gun rights and to form a less than perfect Union, lacking fair Judgement or Justice, thus condemning our domestic Tranquility, and by not allowing for the common defence of our citizens, do hereby and forever fail to promote the general Welfare, nor secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, and that we do not ordain, nor establish this Constitution for all who live in these United States of America…”
When we talk about today’s news coverage, from our left wing liberal news channels, it is unfortunate that these stations will refrain from sharing true life gun stories, such as a legally armed citizen successfully defended themselves or their families while out in public place, or within their own homes.
Both news channels and politicians alike will seldom, if ever, attack the true causes of our society’s crime problems like; career criminals, gangs or druggies, who are the real root causes for gun violence and crimes here in America.
Here in the United States there are many legal gun owners who will tend to sit back, watch and listen as our mainstream news stations deliver their countless outright attacks to our gun rights, as they spin and deliver their own special blend of gun control messages that were written by the very politicians that they support.
Sadly, these same gun owners will continue to watch and support these news stations and their advertisers, even when these stations could care less about our rights as gun owners.
If this state of affairs was not enough, I find it quite troubling that many of those same gun owners will do absolutely nothing but sit there and wait for other gun owners to take up the banner, to take up the cause, and to lead the charge into the battlefield for our 2nd Amendment, and our gun rights. Why is this? Don’t these blatant gun control ads and their ever challenging gun control laws affect you as well? Sure they do folks! And with all due respect to everyone reading here today, what the heck are our fellow gun rights advocates and our 2nd Amendment supporters going to do about this?
Do you truly think that organizations like the National Rifle Association, Gun Owners of America, the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association and the National Sports Shooting Foundation or others (to name a few) can do this all alone, and without our continued support backing them up? Of course they can’t!
It will take gun owners from all across America, organizing their grassroots efforts, planning peaceful protests, staging call-in campaigns, write-in campaigns, and more importantly participating in electoral voting processes to change the efforts and the mindsets of our fellow gun owners, and for those constitutionally challenged politicians that have been previously elected.
And please, let us not forget about those politicians and elected officials who are at the center of this firestorm, thus leading the charge against our 2nd Amendment or gun rights. Names like; Obama, Biden, Cuomo, Bloomberg, Schumer, Feinstein, Holder, Gillibrand, Emmanuel, Salazar and others!
These are the politicians or elected officials who swore to uphold and to protect the Constitution of the United States of America and the Bill of Rights, and yet they have all but forgotten what it truly means to them, or to the people or country with whom they now serve.
Ladies and Gentlemen and fellow legal gun owners alike, I do not apologize for who I am, nor do I ask for forgiveness from others when I have done nothing wrong! As an American and as a law abiding citizen of this great nation, I believe and support the Constitution of the United States of America and the Bill of Rights.
I am a legal gun owner, a responsible American citizen, and I support the many others who believe in their undeniable right to protect themselves, their families and others from the criminals, gang members, druggies and terrorists who continue to plague this great land of ours!
So I ask you, is this a political death wish for our 2nd Amendment rights, or is this a call to arms to protect what is constitutionally ours to have? I leave this thought with you…
