Delaware students build world’s largest Lego structure [VIDEO]

Just when you thought the country’s public school system couldn’t possibly get any worse, it goes and does something like this…and totally redeems itself!

That’s right, America: the students of the Red Clay School District in Delaware have stacked — and stacked, and stacked — a Lego tower that is 11 stories tall, reports Delaware Online.

The tower has been officially recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records. It’s the tallest edifice ever made out of interlocking plastic toy.

There are more than 500,000 little pieces of molded plastic in the tower.

The sound quality in the video below is awful, particularly throughout the first minute or so. However, you aren’t watching to hear anybody talk. You are watching to see a monstrous monument to American awesomeness.
