On Monday, Fox News executive vice president Michael Clemente announced the Sept. 8 debut of Howard Kurtz’s new program, “MediaBuzz.”

According to a press release, the show will air at 11 a.m. ET and “will focus on the state of the news media in addition to the media’s shaping of current events and their role in politics while also featuring interviews with leading journalists and commentators.”

The program will also feature Bing Pulse, the real-time reactions to the different segments throughout the show that had also been used on the network’s “Special Report” program sporadically.

Joining Kurtz on the program will be Lauren Ashburn, the editor in chief of Daily Download.

According to TVBytheNumbers.com, the decision to air “MediaBuzz” at same time as his former CNN program “Reliable Sources” was logistical reasons.
