Historically black school Hampton University had a special message for incoming freshmen: a zero tolerance policy for twerking.
During the freshman orientation for the class of 2017, the administration presented a lecture that said they will seek disciplinary action against anyone caught twerking, whether it be in person or on Instagram.
Twerking is defined as “the rhythmic gyrating of the lower fleshy extremities in a lascivious manner with the intent to elicit sexual arousal or laughter in ones intended audience,” according to urbandictionary.com
A picture of a slide from the presentation, obtained by Media Take Out, states in a numbered list:
1) Hampton ladies do not twerk!!!
2) Hampton men do not take twerkers home to mother
3) Employers do not discriminate between twerkers and twerkees
