Nebraska coach Bo Pelini is in hot water after a tape of him ranting about Huskers fans and media in 2011 surfaced.

The tape was reportedly made on Oct. 8, 2011 after an impressive comeback against Ohio State, but was just leaked to Deadspin.

According to Deadspin, it was recorded right before a radio interview for the Husker Sports Network. Pelini was particularly incensed with fans that left the game early.

“It took everything in my power to not say, ‘F*ck you, fans. F*ck all of you.’ F*ck ’em,” he said. He then called them fair weather fans and said they could kiss his ass.

Pelini also railed against columnist Tom Shatel of the Omaha World-Herald, saying, “He wants to walk out after my press conference? I’m gonna say, ‘Get the f*ck away from me. I’m done with you, motherf*cker.’ I’m done with him.”

After the tape came to light Monday night, Shawn Eichorst, the director of athletics for Nebraska issued a statement on the school’s website.

“I am disheartened and disappointed by the 2011 comments published today attributed to Coach Pelini about our dedicated and passionate fans and supporters,” Eichorst said. “I have spoken with Chancellor Perlman and I have addressed the situation with Bo and expressed our deep concern.”

Pelini also apologized in a statement.

“I was venting following a series of emotional events which led to this moment,” he explained. “That being said, these comments are in no way indicative of my true feelings. I love it here in Nebraska and feel fortunate to be associated with such a great University and fan base. I again apologize to anyone whom I have offended.”
