I’m really scared of what will happen if the government shuts down, you guys

Font Size:

Have you geniuses thought about what could happen? I mean, really thought about it?

If the government shuts down, who’s going to monitor your phone calls and texts and e-mails and Instagrams and whatever else they feel like, and suffer no consequences for it?

If the government shuts down, who’s going to subject you to a tax audit if you’ve ever attended a Tea Party event?

If the government shuts down, who’s going to tell you what to eat and drink, and which light bulbs to use, and which opinions to hold, and how to make every single “decision” in your day?

If the government shuts down, who’s going to tell you whatever lies they need to tell in order to inexorably expand their power?

Not so smug now, are ya, teabaggers?

I’m with Matt Walsh:

There are many scare tactics being used by the tea baggers in an effort to discredit Obamacare. Personally, I hate scare tactics. You should never let anyone scare you away from supporting socialized medicine, mostly because without it every poor person in the country will get sick and die. Anyway, like I said, I disapprove of scare tactics…

The redneck Tea Party crazies have even gone so far as to completely LIE about the impact Obamacare will have on the workforce. They insist that businesses are actually being forced to cut hours and lay off employees just to comply with the “burdensome” Obamacare rules and regulations. Again, this is a fabrication. Businesses aren’t cutting hours. Besides Walmart, Regal Entertainment, Trader Joe’s, Subway, Firehouse Subs, Sea World, Lands End, Dave and Busters, White Castle, Burger King, Taco Bell, and Home Depot, and academic institutions like Philadelphia University, Sam Houston State University, Ball State University, Georgia Military College, Three Rivers College, Hillsborough Community College, and University of North Alabama, and county governments in Indiana, Florida, North Carolina, Texas, Michigan, Maryland, and Virginia, as well as school districts like Middletown Township Public Schools in New Jersey, Millard School District in Utah, and Shelbyville Central School System in Indiana, along with over 280 other businesses, universities, school systems and town governments, literally NOBODY is losing work because of Obamacare.

Read the whole thing, you racist hayseeds.

And pay no attention to insane, terrorist fact-mongers like Tim Cavanagh, who claims:

Every major economic indicator in the United States improved during and after the Clinton-era government shutdown that has dominated news analysis columns throughout the Defund Obamacare debate.

Although the spending gaps that occurred from November 1995 to January 1996 are depicted almost unanimously by politicians and the establishment media as disasters for the United States, in fact the so-called shutdowns, during which a portion of government spending was temporarily reduced, did no discernible damage to the American economy, and may have boosted the financial well-being of the American people.

Yeah, right! How is that even possible? That’s like saying if Mommy doesn’t make you lunch, you’re not hungry. Um, what?

Go ahead, wingnuts. Shut down the government. On your own heads be it.

See, this is why we can’t have nice Utopias.

Update: So many essential services are in peril.

Update: IT JUST GETS WORSE AND WORSE.
