No confirmed enrollments in Delaware’s Obamacare exchange

Ten days after the official opening of the Obamacare exchanges, officials had yet to confirm a single enrollment in Delaware’s state-run exchange, according to news reports.

While the state’s health-care reform site has had about 18,000 hits since enrollment began on Oct. 1, the site has experienced problems since it’s opening.

Delaware Online reported on opening day that people worked on getting enrolled for hours with their guides due to technological problems and hang ups.

“Please wait. We have a lot of visitors on our site right now and we’re working to make your experience here better,” The Delaware report quoted one of the website messages. “Please wait here until we send you to the login page. Thanks for your patience!”

According to the Associated Press, the state’s healthcare commission also recently learned that only half of Delaware’s 68 so-called “marketplace guides” — hired to assist people with sign-ups — have been completely certified.
