You’ll never guess what the New York Daily News compared the Redskins logo to [PHOTO]

New York Daily News cartoonist Tom Stiglich decided to make a splash in today’s edition of the paper with an over-the-top, absurd take on the name of the Washington Redskins. The “cartoon” showed three images next to each other. On the left is the Nazi flag, next to that, the stars and bars, and to the right of that, the Redskins logo.

The caption reads, “Archaic Symbols of Pride and Heritage.” To compare the Redskins logo to a symbol responsible for mass genocide is not only incorrect, but clearly disrespectful to those affected by the Holocaust.

Maybe we can look forward to other fun comparisons from Stiglich, like a picture of Pol Pot shaking hands with Mark Cuban. Or perhaps scenes from the Armenian genocide superimposed on images from a Red Sox game.

Whether Stiglich actually believes this, or is just doing it for shock value, he managed to invalidate any intelligent argument on the side to change the name.
