Rob Gronkowski, tight end for the New England Patriots, is everything a football player should be. He seems like he’s stuck in perpetual frat-boy mode, but there’s something endearing about the way he’s unapologetic about it.

Plus, the fact that he’s amazingly talented helps. He was out for the first six games of the season due to forearm and back surgery, but was just cleared to play in Sunday’s game against the Jets, ESPN reports. While that doesn’t necessarily mean that he’ll play, a video released by BODYARMOR SuperDrink shows he looks like he’s up for the challenge.

Gronk is a partner and investor in the company, no doubt explaining why he gave an exclusive interview to them.

“You might just think that we just show up and play on Sunday, but there’s so much behind the scenes parts of it that go on in order to get back on the field,” he explains. “It’s literally rehab, rehab, practice, running, conditioning, strengthening all the muscles, strengthening my core muscles. And it’s not just my back muscles and my arm muscles, it’s my whole body.”

Patriots fans are no doubt excited to see the return of this man-beast to the field. Maybe they’ll even see a trademark spike or two.
