Bieber Fever is frighteningly contageous. LA songwriter Toby Sheldon spent $100,000 and over five years of his life trying to look like pop star Justin Bieber, the Daily Mail reports.

Sheldon, who is 33, first became fascinated with Bieber in 2008.

“Once Justin shot to fame his face was everywhere and I all I kept thinking when I saw his picture was, ‘I want to look like him,'” says Sheldon.

Sheldon took Justin Bieber’s picture to his plastic surgeon in an attempt to recreate Bieber’s look. Three transplants and $21,000 later, Sheldon perfected his Bieber-style hairline. But that was just the beginning.

Next, Sheldon got Botox and Aquamid injections to his temples and forehead.

“By using Justin’s charming baby face as my inspiration, I’ve been able to restructure my entire look to maintain a much more youthful appearance through plastic surgery,” Sheldon says.

He talked to eight different surgeons before finding one that would operate on him.

In 2012, he spent $4,850 on surgery to lift his upper eyelids. His latest splurge was $30,000 on a three-part smile surgery. A popular surgery in South Korea, the lip-curling procedure gives him a “perma-smile” look.

Despite all the surgeries, Sheldon is not fully satisfied with his face.

“I know there is more work to be done in order to make a full transformation into Justin Bieber’s doppelganger like a nose job and jaw reduction, which my surgeon has suggested,” Sheldon says.
