The life of a professional football player is tough. You have to practice constantly, speak to the media, foster team relationships and know your opponent. Indianapolis Colts’ Vontae Davis was so close to nailing all of these, but couldn’t quite get them all.
Unfortunately for the cornerback, in a post game interview with NBC’s Michelle Tafoya, he told her that they had “a good week of practice” and had been “preparing really hard for Tom Brady.” This would be a factually correct statement if they had been playing the New England Patriots, but the Colts faced off with the Denver Broncos this week. In fact, they aren’t scheduled to play the Pats once this whole year.
The Colts beat the Broncos 39-33 after a week of some controversy about Jim Irsay’s comments about Denver’s Peyton Manning.
