Illinois Sen. Mark Kirk berated Marilyn Tavenner — the Obama administration bureaucrat in charge of the messy HealthCare.gov rollout — during a Senate hearing investigating the site’s failures Tuesday. But he also confused the room with what he explained was a bit of Navy lingo.

“I was just thinking what might happen when you were getting ready for this hearing,” Kirk said, envisioning that Tanner made a phone call to CGI Federal — the company that built the Obamacare site — and said, “It’s Carolyn [sic]. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot on my website?”

Tanner didn’t reply.

“As we would say in the Navy,” Kirk went on.

Another senator can be heard asking, “What?”

“WTF,” replied another.

“WTF. Yeah,” Kirk answered.

“After hundreds of millions of dollars, you should have something,” Kirk went on.

“I would just wonder what Mr. Roach [CGI Federal’s CEO] is driving right now. Probably something really nice, after the amount of money you’ve given to him.”
