The Toronto Argonauts decried the comments that Toronto Mayor Rob Ford made while wearing the team’s jersey Thursday.

Ford used vulgar language to address accusations made against him in a meeting with the media after a city council meeting.

An ex-staffer, Olivia Gondek, has said that Ford made lewd comments toward her, specifically that he wanted to perform oral sex on her.

“Olivia Gondek says that I wanted to eat her pussy,” he told the media. “Olivia Gondek. I’ve never said that in my life to her. I would never do that. I’m happily married. I’ve got more than enough to eat at home. Thank you very much.”

The comments released a statement shortly after the mayor’s comments, USA Today reports.

“It’s well-known that the Mayor is a big fan and supporter of the game of football. The Toronto Argonauts organization is not in a position to comment on the manner of dress of public officials. The situation with respect to the Mayor and his leadership is unseemly at best. These latest remarks, while wearing our team’s jersey, are particularly disappointing given our organization’s work in the community to help youth deal with issues of bullying prevention. We hope for the benefit of the wonderful citizens of Toronto and this great city that this situation is resolved expeditiously.”
