A 62-year-old mall Santa Claus (spoiler alert: Santa is not real!) at Hanover Mall in Hingham, Mass., an affluent suburb of Boston, was arrested Monday for allegedly groping a female elf.
Herbert Jones, who would have made a good Santa because he has a real white bushy beard, was released on $1,000 bail for allegedly grabbing the rear end of an 18-year-old female elf and making “suggestive comments,” The Associated Press reports.
Jones pleaded not guilty, but a judge ordered him to stay away from the Hanover Mall and said that he would never be allowed to play Santa again if he was found guilty.
