Joe Scarborough is calling out Obamacare supporters trying to convince Americans that HealthCare.gov is now running smoothly.

“How crazy is it that they’re saying the website is working well?” Scarborough asked Monday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “It’s a Hollywood facade. It’s a Western and you get everybody shooting and everything, but you push the wall over and there’s not actually a saloon behind it.”

Scarborough’s remarks came at the end of a segment grading the White House’s “fix” of the malfunctioning HealthCare.gov website. Despite serious concerns about critical systems — such as payments to insurers and data security — former White House advisor David Plouffe told ABC Sunday that the Obamacare rollout was going well and President Obama’s poll numbers will soon recover. He admitted, however, that Obamacare may not start working properly until after the president leaves office.

“David Plouffe’s assessment?” Scarborough asked incredulously. “I don’t think we get to 2017 without this being radically altered. The president is doing it unilaterally right now, but my gosh. David Plouffe saying this thing is going to go swimmingly well, the president may have to leave office before it does. I don’t think that’s going to happen.”

Even former Obama administration spokesman Robert Gibbs was critical of the health-care rollout. “Quite frankly, where [the website] is now is probably where it should have been two months before it launched,” he said.
