While watching author and longtime New Yorker writer Malcolm Gladwell on a recent edition of CBS’ “60 Minutes,” an old colleague jumped out at me. Yeah, that’d be Bloomberg‘s former White House correspondent Hans Nichols, who has since departed Washington for Berlin. What a joy it was to work alongside Nichols in the trenches (long eye roll). My favorite was the pronunciation of his name by a certain British-born editor who said his name like “hands” but without the “d.”
