By now, everybody on Earth has seen the guy. But what’s his story? How did he get that close to the most powerful man in the free world? And most importantly: What does he do for fun?
The sign language interpreter who gestured meaninglessly at the Nelson Mandela memorial in South Africa on Tuesday has faced charges of murder, rape, theft, breaking and entering, malicious damage to property and kidnapping, according to eNCA.com.
The South African news site said the outcome of the murder charge against Thamsanqa Jantjie, brought in 2003, was unknown because the court case file is “mysteriously empty.”
Wow. With a rap sheet like that, and with such a suspicious gap in his public records… Are we sure this guy isn’t one of Barry’s various half-siblings? That would explain how he got onstage.
I know the clips have been around all week, but somehow I can’t seem to find one of Obama and this guy onstage together for more than a few seconds at a time.
