Christopher Hitchens never had his own TV show, but back in the 1990s we got a glimpse of just how bizarrely entertaining it might have been.

Sunday marked the second anniversary of the prolific essayist’s death of esophageal cancer at 62. The Daily Caller is commemorating his life by revisiting some of his most epic moments that live on in the cyber world. (RELATED: 5 Great Christopher Hitchens takedowns)

In 1991, Hitchens guest hosted an episode of CNBC’s “Talk Live.” His guest for the evening? White supremacist Tom Metzger and his white supremacist father John. The showdown made for highly entertaining television.
