Check out one of eight new purposefully-cheesy Acura ads written by Jerry Seinfeld, in sponsorship with the third season of his web series, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” debuting Jan. 2.

Seinfeld told AdFreak on Tuesday the ads were inspired by the “drunken, lazy ad culture of the ’60s,” and he wanted to riff on old ad phrases no one uses anymore like “hot, handsome and a honey to handle,” “the perfect car for the big-car man,” and “yesterday, today and tomorrow.”

“You know, I have done a bit of advertising over the years. But I have never been given the creative freedom that I was given on these by Acura. They’re gutsier than any other company I’ve ever worked with,” Seinfeld said.
