Whatever you think of Ted Cruz, the Republican senator from Texas certainly made his presence known in Washington during his freshman year as a member of the “world’s greatest deliberative body.”

On Sunday, ABC’s “This Week” commemorated what it deemed “The Year of Cruz” with a new interview with the conservative rabble rouser. During a conversation with ABC’s Jon Karl, Cruz refused to back down from his “Defund Obamacare” strategy and even answered questions about a coloring book a fan created in his honor. “Let me ask you Jon, just for clarification, is this the first time anyone has ever been on your show cross-examined from a coloring book?” Cruz asked in either jest or exasperation.

But Karl persisted, pressing Cruz to say whether or not he agreed with the coloring book’s claim that Obamcare is worse than war.

“No, of course not!” Cruz exclaimed.
