Cameron Diaz wants women to keep their vaginas “fully dressed,” instead of going with the newfangled fad of using laser hair removal to weed whack the front porch.

In her new book, “The Body Book,” Diaz dedicates an entire section to encourage women to keep their pubic hair down there instead of removing it all, E! News reports.

“I hear that there’s a big fad these days of young women undergoing laser hair removal on all of their lady bits,” Diaz writes, calling laser hair removal a “crazy idea” because it lasts “forever.”

Diaz also likens pubic hair removal to a fad like skinny jeans or the ones that laced up the front and were popular circa 2002: “I know you may think you’ll be wearing the same style of shoes forever and the same style of jeans forever, but you won’t,” she writes. “The idea that vaginas are preferable in a hairless state is a pretty recent phenomenon, and all fads change, people.”

Diaz concludes her section on pubic hair with the exact same metaphor that my eighth grade sex-ed teacher used about virginity: “Twenty years from now, you will still want to be presenting it to someone special, and it would be nice to let him or her unwrap it like the gift that it is.”
