The NBA fined New York Knicks shooting guard J.R. Smith $50,000 for untying Shawn Marion’s shoelaces, as well as attempting to untie the laces of other players at the foul line.

The league levied the official charge of “recurring instances of unsportsmanlike conduct” against Smith, according to Bleacher Report. Knicks head coach Mike Woodson is less than pleased with Smith’s unapologetic antics.

“This has got to stop,” Woodson said on ESPN Radio. “I keep saying it each time, but this has to stop… Something has gotta be done. It has to stop. At at the end of the day, [J.R. Smith] has got to grow up.”

Smith has accrued an estimated $910,000 in fines during his career. He has not publicly issued an apology or explanation.
