Rand Paul expressed his thoughts on the potential presidential candidacies of Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden Thursday and to the great surprise of no one, the Republican senator from Kentucky was not particularly effusive in his praise.

“I think he is a nice guy, but only time would tell, you know, whether he has anything new to offer,” Paul told guest host Eric Bolling on Fox News’ “Your World w/ Neil Cavuto.” “I mean, his administration has presided over 20 million people being without work, a really languishing economy, lots of people losing their health insurance. So I would say he has a lot of explaining to do if he would seek the presidency.”

Paul, who is seriously considering a 2016 presidential run himself, also slammed Clinton, who recently revealed that she hasn’t driven a car since 1996.

“I think you’re going to have a little bit of trouble relating to America’s middle class if you have been riding around in a limousine for twenty years. So when I hop in my GMC truck and ride to the grocery store and buy my own groceries or scan them myself, I think there’s a little more connection with everyday America than somebody riding around in a limousine.”
