People from the South have acquired tough skin from being the butt of many jokes over the years.

Some stereotypes are all too real. From bare feet to meatloaf, Southerners are all about comfort and ease, but throw in some snow and they will stay off the streets — not because they cannot drive but because snow plows and road salt are precious commodities in these parts.

After all, with blazing temperatures and stifling humidity who expects a winter wonderland?
