So long, Chicago on the Potomac

Font Size:

Four years ago, I moved to Washington, DC to blog for an insane television personality after he pretty much kidnapped me. Since then, things haven’t really gone according to plan. Outside of work, at least.

(Either you’ve been reading this blog and you know all about the stuff I’ve endured, or you haven’t and you don’t care. Or, I dunno, some combination thereof. Anyway, I’m not going to rehash it all yet again. Google me if you’re interested.)

So. Tomorrow I’m leaving “This Town.” Whatever I thought I was proving by staying here as long as I have, either I’ve proven it by now or I never will.

I’ve never really felt like I belong in this city. Although I’ve made some really good friends here, and I don’t regret moving here despite everything that’s happened, I just don’t like being this close to Mordor. And I hate being so far away from the people I love most in the whole world.

But I’m very proud to be part of the Daily Caller, and I’m going to keep blogging here. I’ll just be cooped up in a different apartment, far from DC. My physical location doesn’t really matter anyway. Tucker and Neil found me on the Internet, I’ve been on the Internet this whole time, and I’m still going to be on the Internet. Same deal as far as you’re concerned, dear reader.

Okay, then. It’s time to go back home. It’s time to go back to the United States of America.

I’ll let you know when I get there. Should be back online early next week. Wish me a safe trip. Or don’t, if you’re a big stinker.

P.S. Oh yeah… Happy Valentine’s Day! #LOL
