Most people realize that if they want to stay out all night drinking, they should either call a cab or secure a faithful friend to be a designated driver ahead of time. Unfortunately for everyone on the road, one Polish man failed to do either of these things, leaving him to rely on family.
Mikolaj Tomaszewski got too drunk at a bar and, logically, called his eight-year old son to come meet him and drive his car home. Predictably, the eight-year old caused a pile-up after turning into an oncoming car, reports the Mirror.
The collisions sent five people to the hospital. Luckily no one was seriously injured, but Mikolaj was arrested for endangering the life of a minor and causing an accident. He could face up to five years in jail.
Tomaszewski’s logic behind calling his young son to come drive him was that he had allowed the boy to drive in supermarket parking lots before. Which, of course, translates into being road-ready when you can barely see above the steering wheel.
