A Royal Danish Air Force pilot fired off this incredible selfie after letting an AIM-9 Sidewinder missile off of his F16’s chain during a flight over the North Sea.
ABC News identified the pilot as Thomas Kristensen, who it appears captured the shot from a GoPro camera mounted inside his cockpit and reflected in his visor.
Though the picture was originally posted to Facebook in October 2012, it’s likely picked up thrust in the week following Ellen DeGeneres’ epic all-star cast Oscar selfie, and the waves tweeters trying to break her new record.
Unless you can break the sound barrier with your next attempt, don’t even try.
