LeBron James is the latest celebrity to come forward to support Obamacare. HealthCare.gov released a YouTube video of the basketball star encouraging people to enroll in the health-care marketplace before the deadline on March 31.
In the 30 second spot, James says:
“I’m LeBron James and I know how important it is to take care of yourself, your friends and your family. That’s why I want to tell you about the health insurance marketplace at HealthCare.gov. You can go there to find an affordable health plan that’s part of the health care law. The deadline to enroll is March 31, so sign up now. You never know when you might take a hit. Spread the word and get covered today.”
It’s questionable as to whether James is signing up himself, since the NBA’s player’s association says that players enjoy “expansive benefits,” according to their website.
