As the name of his former show suggests, HBO comedian and “Real Time” host Bill Maher is in no mood to be sensitive, especially not toward the national media covering the missing Malaysian plane. He wrote the following early this morning on Twitter at 12:20 a.m. His previous show was called: “Politically Incorrect” and aired on Comedy Central and later ABC.

The clip in question from Kuala Lumpur Wednesday was gut-wrenching.”My son,” the woman said in a moment of raw grief, before she began screaming and security guards pulled her away from a briefing at a hotel. “I just want my son back.” She was one of three women who staged a protest against the Malaysian government at the hotel.

Maher can blame the media all he wants for “disaster porn.” But since the woman was, in fact, protesting the Malaysian government, logic indicates that she might want the world to watch her story over and over again, no matter how tired Maher is of watching it.
