Facebook created this map that shows the most popular Sweet 16 team in every state, based on the amount of buzz generated since the beginning of the NCAA tournament. “Buzz” includes anytime the team was mentioned in a post or comment, or liked.
Dayton dominates the map, proving everyone still loves an underdog. In a tongue-twister, Michigan beats out Michigan State in Michigan. Lousville beats out Kentucky in Kentucky, but Kansas picks up the slack and favors Louisville. The only two teams not dominating a state are San Diego State and Michigan State.
