Hilarious fake election signs posted in Canada

For some reason, not everyone in Canada loves Toronto mayor Rob Ford. Mysterious, and hilarious signs, for fake mayoral candidates popped up in Toronto Monday, urging people to visit NoFordNation.com.

The signs have pictures of men with taglines like, “The current mayor threatens to kill people and gets publicly drunk. If elected, I promise I will just get publicly drunk,” and “He promises to just smoke pot as mayor. Not crack.” They are the work of Rethink Media, who also were the masterminds behind the Canadian Olympic beer fridge.

No Ford Nation is the brainchild of Christina Robins, who started it three years ago, reports Canada.com. Robbins said, “Ford Nation was started by Rob and Doug Ford to divide this city into us and them. What we’re saying is that there’s no such nation. We’re just Toronto.”

The Facebook page has around 3,100 fans. Robbins said, “You don’t want to say ‘anyone but Ford’ and then not give them any resources to make an informed decision. We want to get back to a mayor who doesn’t embarrass us.”

The signs are pretty brilliant. See for yourself.
